Deaconstar recently held our first recruitment day at our head office in Bishop Auckland.

Staff were on hand to support unprecedented attendance with fresh drinks and work stations offering the opportunity for people to understand more about who we are and the work that we do.

On the day, over 160 people made the journey to see us and whilst the standard and competition for places was high, we were able to fill all the vacancies currently available and at the same time create a ‘bank staff’ of new employees to support our services and those due for delivery in later 2025.

Operations Director Pat Ward was on hand and had the following to say, “Recruitment in social care is an ongoing challenge.
